If you’re in the market for a reasonably priced used luxury SUV, you have plenty of options these days. All of these are under $15K and have less than 100,000 miles on the clock. Of course, 15 grand is just the price of entry. Maintenance is going to be expensive. But who cares!?

First up is the Rangie sport, with arguably the best interior of the bunch. Exterior aesthetics look sharp too, and this will fit in well at your local luxury mall, despite being 10 years old.

XC90s are an option too if you’re into Swedish stuff. They look a little dated from the outside, but the interior design still holds up pretty well.

The Cayenne Turbo. The elephant in the room. If you want to get speeding tickets on a regular basis while you’re driving to work, this is the car for you. These were a big deal when they were released, and despite being ugly as fuck (sorry... I can’t stand the way these look from the front), they’re still pretty cool.

My personal favorite. The E53 X5 4.8is. I’m sure someone will point out to me that these are, from some people’s perspective, just as ugly as the Cayenne. But I don’t care! I actually love the way it looks - like a big German muscle SUV.

If you’d like a better looking Cayenne with a nicer interior, you can just buy a V8 Tuareg. They aren’t fast or striking, but easy enough on the eyes and equipped with a cabin that has aged pretty well.

So Oppo, which would you choose?

The RRS is actually pretty reliable. It’s a LR3 underneath, and not a full0size Range Rover.

Love that generation and trim X5. You used to even be able to get a manual X5.

Is none of the above an option?

Either the RRS or the Bimmer based on the fact that the Volvo isn’t even slightly sporty, the Touareg isn’t a V10 and the Cayenne has a black interior.

I thought they were a RR on an LR3, making it hideously heavy.

When talking GM ans SUVs I’d prefer a TB SS.

GMC Yukon Denali is the correct answer.

Interesting. I would have thought they would be as subject to gremlins as any other RR.

You’re post in is wrong because the only good answers that won’t leave you stranded on the side of the road with a repair bill on its way worth more then the car are not on here!

The X5 is the only of that group I’d seriously consider. Then the RRS just because it’d look the prettiest broken down in my driveway.

Well, it is a Rover, not a Corolla. The LR3s and 4s have an awesome track record... the early L322 RRs (what Doug had) not so much.

Considering most of these end up in front of the low income housing and cheap apartments, the one that gives you most street cred. So, no Volvo, no Touareg, no Porsche turbo needed to roll slowly on dubs, BMW just doesn’t have that cred, you didn’t list a Benz, so RRS it is!

Zero problems with mine. Even with all the scheduled maintenance I’ve done, (and I mean all. I’ve done everything the truck needs or has needed in the close to 40k I’ve owned it so far) I’m still ~$3,000 and 100k miles ahead of buying a LC80.

They are all horribly unreliable and/or crazy expensive to maintain, I’d probably pick the Cayenne if I actually wanted to get to work everyday, if that didn’t matter I would pick the RRS.

I’d take the Range first and the Bimmer second, extended warranty with either one.

It’s 5ish years older and have 150k more miles to be in this price range.

And still would be 100x more reliable.

RRS all day. It is probably the least “utility” of them all though. Very little cargo space.
